Permanent replacements for missing teeth
Tooth replacement is not just a topic for elderly people. Premature tooth loss may also be due to sports accidents, failed root canal treatment or inflammatory gum disease. What is an implant?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root made of titanium or ceramics, which is placed into the jawbone to support a crown, bridge or denture. What are the benefits of dental implants?
-
For patients with one or several missing teeth
Implant-supported crowns or bridges are ideal for replacing missing teeth, provided the adjacent teeth are healthy. Unlike conventional tooth-borne bridges dental implants do not require the healthy neighbouring teeth to be ground down. Therefore, dental implants are the ideal way to restore aesthetics and function. - For patients with complete dentures
Dental implants may be used to stabilize existing complete dentures. The Minifive® concept developed by Dr. Huemer is particularly suited for the lower jaw. Implant-supported full-arch bridges, which are available in different types and price ranges, may be an attractive alternative to complete dentures.

Initial Assessment
Long-term patient satisfaction is our first and foremost goal. Prior to treatment a thorough examination is necessary to make sure there is no periodontal disease, because healthy gum and bone tissue is most important for the implant treatment to be successful. - Insufficient bone for implant placement
If the volume and density of the bone tissue available is not sufficient, bone grafts can be used to build up the jawbone thus allowing the successful placement of dental implants. - Digital volume tomography (DVT) for surgical treatment planning
Three-dimensional scans (DVT) performed in our dental centre and virtual reality software are used for planning every single step before surgery. The data gained are then used to guide the actual implant placement procedure. The advantages for the patient are increased safety and comfort as well as a shorter operating time. - No need to worry about the procedure
All operations can be performed under general anaesthesia or conscious sedation (analgosedation). Dr. Konrad Nocker and Dr. Christa Grabher-Meyer, our anaesthetists and intensive care specialists, will discuss with you the options available to decide which of them best suits your needs. - Implant-supported prostheses from our in-house dental lab
All implant-supported crowns, bridges and dental prostheses are fabricated in our in-house certified dental laboratory. Our dental lab technicians are in direct contact with our dentists and patients, which allows for more flexibility and optimal results in terms of fit, function and aesthetics. - Implants loadable within a day
Normally, our dental implants can be loaded into function within a day after surgery. Dental implants are the fastest way back to a strong bite and beautiful smile.
How to make your dental implants last
Similar to natural teeth dental implants must be thoroughly cleaned. In addition, regular implant maintenance visits to check the integrity of the restoration are necessary for long-term health and success.Link
Patientenkommentar
„Seit ich die Implantate habe, bin ich ein ganz neuer Mensch geworden.
Das Essen fällt mir wieder leicht. Auch harte Sachen, die ich mit der
Prothese nicht essen konnte, sind kein Problem. Vielen Dank für die gute
Arbeit!“ Ursula F.
